Passion for Promarkers

Time for the PFP challenge again and this week Caryn challenged us to use the colours Moss & Poppy along with the theme 'Something Tasty', boy did I struggle with this one. The colours made me think of christmas and then I thought of Magnolia Tilda with candy cane ........slight problem though I did not have her................I trawled the internet to no avail and was giving up hope when a lovely stampin buddy came to my rescue and stamped me some images.....thanks Tricia Hunni.

I used Stampin up cardstock and Ski Slope DP, attacked everything with my paper distresser and punched out some flowers with my retro flower punch. The sentiment is from the SU circle of friendship set.

I coloured Tilda in with the following PM's

Skin: Ivory, blush.
Clothes: Moss, marsh green, olive green, poppy, Berry red & red
Hair: Sandstone, cinnamon & cocoa
This week is sponsered by the lovely Joanna Sheen who is offering a £10 voucher to the lucky winner picked by Random, check out her site here to see what you could be spending it on.

C4E Sketch Challenge #38 & Old Magnolia Challenge

Time for the C4E sketch challenge again, Sunday sure does seem to roll around quick!!!!!! This week is the optional extra 'Bling'. I chose to use my Magnolia sitting Alva this week as I have discovered the 'Old Magnolia Challenge blog', each week the very talented DT select a magnolia image to be used for that week...........suppose its a bit hit & miss if you own the stamp but this week I struck lucky as Beatrix had chosen Sitting Alva for this weeks image & as I had never used her before (yes I know I am bad)I thought I would
play along.

I have used Basic Grey papers on this card and the large circle & the branch were cut on my Cricut, the scallop circle is made up of loads of mini circles all glued to the edge of the large one.....LOL........so fiddly.

The corners were cut with a sizzix die and decorated with clear bling dots coloured with my Pumpkin Promarker. The little elf herself was coloured with promarkers and the card finished off with Primas & bling dots. I wanted to put a sentiment on the card but it did not look right so I left it off..............I am not sure I am pleased with the card............who on earth would I send it to????
Anyway have a great Sunday, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Retirement card

Ok so I have been CASEing again, but what's a girl to do when her Mojo goes AWOL & she needs a retirement card for a man?????

This week Mojo Monday have a fab sketch to follow & one of the DT cards caught my eye so I adapted it into a retirement card........with the help of Stampin Up. The card I have cased is by the fabulous Julee Tilman, if you have never visited her blog you are missing a treat, click here to see the card I CASEd and her fab blog.

I will be back to finish this post but need to get some DT stuff finished first & put some kind of interior in the card as i need to hand it over tomorrow............hope i don't cry saying goodbye to this chap as I really am fond of him & I am the only girl so it won't do much for my image now will it!!!!!!!

Oh yeah my ink pad distressing went a bit wrong...LOL, think I need a bit..erm make that a lot more practice at that technique.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge

Time for another challenge at Passion for Promarkers and this week we want to see you use Lemon & Meadow green on your cards.

This week we are lucky to be sponsered by Angel Crafts who are offering a prize of £10 to the winner drawn at random, click here to see what you could be spending it on.

Ok so to my card.........when I saw this colour combo my Magnolia Tilda with Sunflower popped into my head but I had awful trouble finding matching paper........having a real mojo dilema this week............some cards just instantly work for me but i am a little dissapointed with this one.

I eventually found a DCWV Glitter stack pad in my stash......unopened and found thisflowery DP in the challenge colours. I teamed it with SU Cardstock & Ribbon & decorated it with sunflowers from my stash. The sentiment is from the Greeting Farm Hope & Grace stamp set I picked up from Stampeezee on Saturday....just love the sentiments in this pack. I stamped it in SU chocolate brown Ink & punched & layered it with the new SU oval punches.

I used the following Promarkers to colour her:

Hair: Sandstone, Cocoa & Cinnamon
Clothes: Lemon, canary & pastel yellow
Face: Ivory, Blush & Dusky Pink

C4E Sketch Challenge #37

Sunday sure does roll around quickly and with it brings another fab sketch from the lovely Michelle at Crafts 4 Eternity, how cute is the image, I got her from Stampeezee last week, her name is Tutu Face but she can only be purchased in the bricks and Mortar shop, they are not available on the website.

I coloured Tutu face with Letraset Promarkers and decorated her with diamond stickles, oh by the way Stampeezee are now stocking the full range of Promarkers, they will be on the website soon, they will also be stocking Memento Inks, essential for use with these pens so keep checking the site here for their arrival as they have been ordered.

The Dp I used is MME Tiny Dancer 'Chasse' Graceful Circles from
Stampeezee................just loving this DP at the moment. The sentiment is Penny Black, punched out with Stampin Up punches. My cardstock & ribbon is Stampin Up and along with the punches is available from me.

I added Faux stitching, flowers spritzed with Glimmer mist and a lovely charm that reads 'made with love' from a fab company called Papirloftet...........check out their fab site
here

CASEing cards

Ok so these cards have been well & truly cased but I love them & my sis ordered a wedding card and my Mojo went AWOL so i turned to splitcoast stampers & found some fab designs & yes I CASE'd them......almost identically.

This one I just love, the original design can be found here, the fantastic swirl is from the SU Baroque motifs set............I have now decided that this is my favourite SU set. The cardstock is SU Creamy caramel, chocolate chip & Very Vanilla, I have used the co-ordinating ribbon & Inks to match.......don't ya just love SU!!! The sentiment is from Very Versatile....just loving that set for weddings to.

The inside of the card, again taken from the same designer Sam 2001

And another CASEd design from Sam, I changed a few things but not many, the Cherish sentiment is from Baroque Motifs also & the flowers are from The SU One of a kind set & punched out with the fab SU co-ordinating punch.

Again a similar card, love this girls work but no blog unfortunately to drool over

The inside decorated the same as the other again all CASE'd

This one is from the Fab Mary Fish, I had to substitute a few things as I did not have all the supplies Mary used but you will see it is very familiar....check out Mary's fab card & blog here. Just realised I forgot to put the halfback pearls on but I want to make a better version anyway as its a tad too small for my liking &I am not happy with the DSP.

As I did not have the SU heart punches, I used a nestie for the large heart & my 99p Tesco heart punch for the mini one.......knew that would come in handy!!!

I do hope the talented ladies whose designs these are don't mind me CASEing...........i just love your magnificemnt cards.

Passion for Promarkers Challenge week 4

It's week 3 already of Passion for Promarkers & this week we are lucky to be sponsered by Whimsy Stamps & the prize on offer is this fab Princess Emma stamp. To be in with a chance of winning her, just create a card using Gina's chosen colours of Berry Red & Royal Blue & the winner will be chosen at random next Tuesday.......and don't forget you can combine our challenge with others......so get ya Promarkers out!!!!

I found this one a real toughie, I only had one suitable DSP from the DCWV All about Boys stack & thought of my Greeting Farm Skater Ian straight away. I used a Sizzix thin cuts die to create the Boy's Zone sign which my Cuttlebug struggled to cut properly. The star was punched using an SU punch & i finished the card off with brads and distressed it a little.....................nothing is safe from either faux stitching or my Tim Holz distresser at the moment!!!!

To create this card i used papers from the Dovecraft masculine paper pack, the label shape was cut with my cricut & Storybook cartridge. The tie stamp is by Dimension Fourth & was coloured in with My SU markers, the Fathers day stamp is from the SU Occasional Greetings set & was stamped in SU Close to Cocoa. I attacked the card with my Tim Holtz paper distresser.........just loving that tool at the momemt and finished it off with SU Linen thread & buttons from stash.

C4E Sketch Challenge #35

Time for another sketch challenge over at C4E & what a fab sketch it is, there is also the option 'something hidden' but my creative brain was not generating any ideas at all...........guess they were all hidden....LOL...so I just followed the sketch.

I have used Basic Grey Offbeat papers mounted onto SU Old olive & Real red cardstock. My circle & scallop circle were cut using my Cricut & Plantin Schoolbook cartridge.

I coloured in Cherry Tilda with my Promarkers & sat her on SU Real red 1/4" grosgrain ribbon. I then punched out some co-ordinating flowers with my retro punches and decorated the centres with chipboard shapes from K & co. I then punched out 1 of the SU circle of Friendship greetings which I stamped onto Old Olive cardstock with SU Real red Ink.

The decorative border was created with a Fiskars border punch. The promarkers are used were mainly Dusky Pink & Apple but I have added shadows and highlights with other colours and additional colour for hair and skin as stated below.

  • skin: Ivory & Blush
  • Hair: Sandstone, cinnamon & cocoa
  • Jeans & flowers: Dusky pink & Blossom
  • T-Shirt, leaves & grass: Apple, Meadow green & Forest Green
