Crafting fun at Stampaholics

As you know I am in Scotland visitings my in-laws & today my mother-in-law and I were booked into a craft class at the fab Stampaholics.

This is one of the cards I made, designed by Siobhan (owner of the shop) I will not be showing you the other as I a managed to make a complete mess of it!!!!

I had to make it with no cutter, just a craft knife and mat................the colour must have drained from my face when I was told that ...LOL. It was pretty easy actually so I have conqured a fear today (I won't be throwing away my cutter tho)

The main image is by Crafty Individuals, the frame is a nestie (which I just had to buy), the sentiment is from an Inkadinkado clear set and the background swirls and snowflakes were created with various wooden stamps that were available for us to play with.
This is not my usual style of card so I really enjoyed doing something a little different, I managed a little bit of shopping at the end of the class but I was being rushed by men to hurry so I had to leave precious stash behind that should now be mine............SOB................still I am going to the NEC next week..........oh I am soooooooooooo excited.
Anyway, my MIL has just purchased the new Magnolia magazine so I am going to curl up on the sofa with it now as I cannot wait until I get hold of mine that Deb from Stampeezee is saving for me.

Frankie's Monsters

Halloween is nearly upon us, but I will miss all the neighbourhood fun as we will be on our way back from Scotland on the night of Halloween so I have made some monster treat boxes for my usual visitors to hand out beforehand!!!!!

The fab Tutorial is
here
I have used everything the same although I did not have the Top note die but I did have a nestie die that is more or less exact so I used that.

Anyway, we are off out to visit family today & stopping my Luca's fab ice cream shop in Musselburgh (Scotland)...........best ice cream ever!!!

Happy Tuesday bloggers, hope you are all well, I am excited today as I am off up to Scotland when I finish work with my hubby & our 3 doggies to see his parents, my son is there already, he flew up on Thursday lunch time for the holidays. My mother -in-law (Lildaff) is a crafter so we have some crafty time planned which includes a class at the fab Stampoholics and a visit to Aberdeen to meet my Passion ForPromarkers DT mate Debbi, it should be a great few days.

Anyway onto this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge which this week is 'Animals', you can use any colours for this one so I chose to do a Halloween card using 'Bat cat' by Mo Manning, available here . I coloured the puddy cat in the following Promarkers:

Pumpkins: Mandarin, Pumpkin & gold, Umber & cocoa
Mask: Plum, Amethyst & Orchid
Kitty: Cool grey 1, 3, 4 & 5
Ears, nose & mouth: Sunkissed pink
Eyes: Emerald

The DP is DCWV, it's holographic but the pic does not show it!!! The fab sentiment is from an Amy R Halloween collection I got from Sily Monkey crafts, you get loads of sentiments and they stamp perfectly!!!

We are being sponsered by Letraset themselves this week who are giving away a pack of 5 promarkers, so get colouring in to be in with a chance to win!!!!

Have a great week, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Happy Birthday Barry 'The Bear' Kempton

Hiya bloggers, what a week this has been, so glad it's the weekend!!!! Another different type of card from me, tomorrow is my friend Barry's birthday and he just loves bears..............in fact if he existed in another life form before this life then he was a bear as his stature resembles that of a bear stood on its hind legs.

I needed a Bear image for his card & my Canadian friend Diana came to the rescue with this Bear from Stampin Up's Wildlife Reserve Set (not available in the UK), I had a nose on splitcoast and found this card from which I took my inspiration.
Align Centre

The Bear is stamped in Black Ink & mounted onto Black (yes I know it looks brown, camera is telling lies) and Kraft cardstock. I used my SU corner ticket punch to snip the corners of the middle panel away and my houndstooth embossing folder on the background, I added some silver brads & twine & hey presto.

This card looks so much better IRL honest, I hope Barry likes it!!!!

Have a great weekend, I am having my hair done tomorrow, highlights and a cut...........I hate it........I could be doing so many other things whilst sat in that place but I cannot leave it no longer, people are starting to comment about the amount of roots I have showing............I have been shamed into it....LOL

The Base card is Kraft that I got from Emma at Something Sweet....................fab quality and I got the envelopes to match.......I will be having more of these!!!!! The papers MME Bloom & Grow & the stamp is a Greeting Farm Miss Anya from Stampeezee.............who buy the way have some new Greeting Farm stamps in and did have some Martha Stuart punch around the page punches.........if out of stock on the site, call the shop as Deb keeps shop and internet stock separate so she may still have some!!!!!!

Passion for Promarkers

Happy Tuesday to everyone, hope you are all well. This week at Passion for Promarkers our guest DT Claire has chosen the colours Poppy & Forest Green and as soon as I saw these colours I knew I wanted to use Mo Manning's Christmas Fairy Holly, isn't she adorable, Mo is unbelievably talented!!!

I coloured Holly in the following Promarkers:

Blush, Dusky pink, pastel pink, lipstick red, crimson, pine, meadow green, leaf green, cinnamon, cocoa, sandstone, Poppy, Forest green, pastel blue & Blender

The DP is Imaginesce from Stampeezee

Hope you all have a great week, I have a sad day ahead tomorrow as it is the funeral of my young colleague Stuart who died a couple of weeks ago during a football game, it was discovered he had an unknown underlying heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy which is an enlarged heart, no-one could ever have known!!!

Anyway, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Merry wishes

Something a little different from me!!!!

I have all my new Stampin Up goodies & thought I best start playing with them, I could not wait to make a crimbo card with the 'Tree Trimmings' set & 'Merry Moments' DSP

I stamped the baubles on to Stampin Up Very Vanilla cardstock in Real red & old olive & Chocolate chip inks, used my stamp -a-ma jig to align them of course & cut out with my Oval Nesties. The DSP is layered onto ......yes you guessed it Old Olive & Real red cardstock

The sentiment is 'A little Merry' by Stampendous, stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock & punched out with the fab new SU word window punch & layered onto a real red tag cut out with a nestie, the ribbon is 1/4" chocolate chip grossgrain.

Hope you like it, I am so pleased I have made a crimbo card, 1 down 2 billion to go....LOL.

Have a great weekend, I am off to the Stampeezee Justrite demo tomorrow morning, crafting with a friend in the afternoon & off out for a meal with a workpal on the night so busy but fun weekend ahead for me.

Passion for Promarkers

Hi to all in blogland and apologies for my lack of blogging and comment leaving, I have been rushed off my feet lately & working late hours I just don't seem to have time for my fave hobby & I am constantly fighting for the computer with hubby and my 13 year old!!!

Anyway over at Passion For Promarkers the lovely Gina has created us a lovely sketch to use this week and has let us have a free run on the colours. Hubby surprised me with some of the new Magnolia Halloween collection so I just had to use one of my Tilda witches, isn't she just adorable............I am a bit Halloween obsessed to be honest, not sure why, I think its just a fun time of the year...............sometimes spoiled by 'Hoodies' knocking your door with only a mask on with their hands out......LOL

Anyway, I stamped Tilda in black memento Ink onto Stampin Up Whisper White cardstock & coloured her in the following Promarkers:

Cool grey 1, 2 & 5, Aubergine, amber, gold, pumpkin, pastel pink, dusky pink, lavender, purple, caramel, sandstone, cocoa, umber & Blush.

I used the delish Pixie sticks Halloween Imaginisce papers available here, the web is an old Magnolia stamp & the sentiment is by CC designs available here

The inside:

The sentiment is from the same CC design set & the spider is again an old Magnolia stamp, I used my new Martha Stewart Drippy Goo punch that the fab Deb of Stampeezee got me, thanks Deb you are a star

Do check out the rest of the DT cards, they are all fab as usual

Passion for Promarkers & Secret Crafter

Hiya blogging pals, its only Tuesday and what a horrid week I am having already!!!! I arrived at work yesterday to be whisked off into a meeting room only to be told that one of my team had collapsed & died playing football at the weekend, he was 31, I cannot believe it, so tragic & he was such a lovely lad!!!
To make it worse the girl who I gave the post it note holder to (a few posts ago) who is going through a rough time is his girlfriend!!!

As you can imagine the atmosphere at work yesterday was rather sombre.

Anyway onto a happier subject & time for the Passion for Promarkers challenge & this week Denise has chosen a recipe:

'Any colours + 3 different shapes, 2 papers, 1 ribbon'

I have used Imaginisce double sided DP Wild Things hip-hippo-ray available from Stampeezee, my shapes are my squares of the card, tags for the sentiment &my 3rd shape are the craftwork card candy dot circles, my ribbon is the twine across the card.

I coloured the adorable Magnolia Lion in the following Promarkers:

Tan, Sandstone, caramel cocoa, cinnamon, umber, warm grey 4 & 5, sunkissed pink, dusky pink & Ivory

I have decorated the inside of this one as I never seem to finish my cards off & I want to start selling them (to get some pennies back for more stash) so I am trying to be organised....LOL

I am also entering this card into the Secret Crafter Challenge which this week has the theme of 'Celebration', I will link it when I get home as this is a scheduled post

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.
