Passion for Promarkers

Happy Tuesday blogging pals, the weeks sure do fly by, not long to xmas now & I am way behind on the xmas card making!!!! Looks like I will be making an emergency trip to the shops for some boxed cards....................although I feel bad as most of my pals know about my habit & may be offended if I don't make them a card!!!! What do you do???

Anyway, on to this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge & this week Helen has chosen the theme 'Vintage'

This one got me thinking...........In the end I decided on a blue & cream theme, this colour scheme is everywhere at the moment and I love it!!!! My papers are from the My Minds Eye Signature range............love these papers, so yummy.

I stamped my new xmas eve Tilda in Black Impress Ink onto SU Very Vanilla cardstock & coloured her in the following Promarkers:

Skin: Ivory, Blush, Dusky pink, pastel pink
Clothes: pastel blue & denim blue, caramel & Tan
Hair: sandstone, cinnamon & Umber

The sentiment is an Old Magnolia one, stamped in SU Close to Cocoa onto SU Very vanilla cardstock.

I have sanded & used my paper distresser on the edges of the papers to give them an older appearance.

Hope you like it, we are making it in my card class tonight as some of my ladies want to play colouring in and some have asked how I build my cards, so I thought I would show them!!!!

Thanks for looking, have a great week, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Happy 50th Birthday

Thank goodness its Friday, sorry I have not visited this week.........I have felt really unwell all week, I have been at work but by the time I got home every night I was ready for bed!!! I feel no better today and I am working all day tomorrow as well!!!!

Anyway.....I made this card for hubby's work pal who is celebrating her 50th birthday this week. the design is based on this card from the Splitcoast stamper gallery of Treasureoiler.

I had a go at the Featured stamper challenge on Splitcoast stampers where you get to CASE a card from a chosen gallery but the rules are that you must chage at least 2 things............as you can see I changed quite a few, including the DP, colour, stamps etc

The DP is Craftwork cards from Stampeezee & I used my Martha Stewart Arch Lattice punch to create the border at the bottom..........the Martha Stuart punches are on offer by the way at Stampeezee.........15% off & they have the punch around the page ones back in stock - if you can't see them on the web site they may have them in the shop stock so give them a call.
I cut the numbers on my Cricut & covered them with glitter.......this card looks so much nicer IRL, I just can't get a decent pic in this dark weather!!!!
Anyway I hope his pal likes the card.........I am going to lie on the settee now & sleep as I am worn out!!!

Passion for Promarkers

Good day blogging pals...........another Passion for Promarkers challenge is upon us & this week our Guest DT Barbara has chosen the colours Marsh Green & Burnt Umber, I immediately decided to ink up my Greeting Farm Peter Pan that I have had for months & never used.

These colours look fantastic with the Archaic papers from Basic Grey, I used the following Promarkers to colour Peter:

Blush, pastel pink, dusky pink, burnt umber, sandstone, caramel, cinnamon & blender

The sentiment is from the same set as Peter Pan........'never ever' & has been punched out with the Stampin Up word window punch & layered on to the SU Oval & scallop oval shapes.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

7th Wedding Anniversary

Happy Saturday everyone, just had to show you my suprises from hubby for our 7th anniversary!!! This is us on that magical day in Clearwater, Florida, our photographer was amazing, hired about 3 days before the wedding as Virgins photo package was awful, this firm were in Safety Harbour...........v.expensive but it is was our only chance to catch the special memories.........yuk........how soppy do I sound & they were the only firm available at such short notice.....LOL.......good job I had our flexi friend to assist in an emergency!!!!

He suprised me with a hand made card.............yes, no help from at me at all, he designed it all him self, no sketch, no inspiration.........he's a natural don't ya think???? He must get it from his taleted mummy Fiona.

It has an acetate window & everything, he used 3 stamps of mine that have never ever seen ink........LOL. The flower is a Penny Black, the flower is Papermania & the Sentiment is from an SU SAB set. He coloured the flowers in Promarkers.........I think its a fab card don't you?

and a knock at the door........................

I never get flowers as the last time (about 8 years ago) I moaned about how much they had cost so he never bothered again.........until today...........I was a bit more grateful today....LOL, I still think flowers from florists are too expensive but these are beautiful & they sit lovely in my bay window and will hopefully last longer to as it is cool there.

The rest of the day was a bit of a nightmare........we were going shopping this morning & then to the German Market in Birmingham with my Brother & Sis this afternoon but we could not get our hands on OUR cash as Halifax were having technical probs as a result of the bad weather last night so shopping was abandoned. My mom lent us cash to go into Birmingham tho but after walking over a mile to the train station found the trains to Birmingham cancelled as someone had been hit by a train...........how awful!!!!
We ended up getting the bus and just sat in heavy traffic trying to get into Birmingham. Once there we could not move in the German Market........turns out the light switch on on the other side of town had been abandoned as someone had been stabbed and there was a bit of a fight from what I heard........shame as people were looking forward to seeing JLS & Sugababes.......well, all these dissapointed folk must all have been in that market!!!
We left after about 50 mins of being pushed & shoved but then could not get back on public transport......Trains to busy......buses all full......thank goodness for Taxi's that's all I can say!!!!
Anyway enough of my ranting I am off to bed as I still feel a bit poorly!!!

passion for Promarkers

Another hectic week has flown by & time again for another Passion for Promarkers challenge and this week the lovely Ida has provided us with a fab sketch to follow.

I decided to use my WOJ Henry skating mouse that I bought weeks ago and have neglected to use, poor little mite. I stamped him in Black Impress ink onto whisper white card and coloured him in the following Promarkers:

Cinnamon, Cocoa, Umber, Pine, Forest Green, Tea green, Ice Grey 1, Ice grey 5, Cool grey 1, Artic blue, Duck egg, Oatmeal, Tan, Poppy, Lipstick Red & Blender

The paper is Bo Bunny from Hobbycraft, I have inked the edges with SU real red ink, the sentiment is by Elzybells & the fancy border was created with my new EK Success punch that I got from the NEC on Saturday

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Passion for Promarkers

Happy Tuesday to you all, I am sooooo tired this week after our hectic but fun visit to Scotland, we got to see a lot of the family this trip and my MIL and I even managed a craft session at her local craft shop Stampaholics.................back to reality now though and back to work.....still a girl has to earn the pennies to spend at the NEC on Friday and Saturday right?? Woo hoo I am sooooooo excited, let me know if you are gonna be there and I will look out for you.

Anyway onto this weeks Passion for Promarkers challenge & this time we want to see the colours grass & canary on your creations........mmmmm this one got me thinking, i had a look around the digi stamp sites and found this Itty Bitty Bobby Dinosaur costume cutie from Pink cat Studio and thought he was perfect, the sentiment was from the same site and was a freebie.

I coloured Itty Bitty Bobby in the following promarkers:

Grass, meadow green, canary, sunflower, lemon, blush, dusky pink, pastel pink, sandstone & umber.

I cut him out with Small & large oval nesties and made a box sized to fit my label nesties. I was going to put some treats in the box but the postie bought a big box today and I put it on the table on top of my project by accident........oops........its a little on the flat side now!!!!

Anyway have a great week and I hope to see some of you at the NEC

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.
