Marmite card

Hope everyone is well, sorry about my lack of visiting bu I have been manic the past couple of weeks, we go on our holidays to Cornwall tomorrow so I have been catching up on time at work, washing, cleaning & doing DT cards in advance that are due whilst I am away.

I found time to pop to Stampeezee last night however & take part in a distressing class that they were running, (click on the Stampeezee link to see the display cards) they have a new artist teaching some of the classes & I just love her style, she is a big Tim Holtz fan so we set to work using some of his products & this is what I created

You will either love or hate this card hence the post title 'Marmite', personally I love it, I made a real mess.............we all did actually, my hands are still green this morning after scrubbing them!!!!! the class was really relaxed as there were no mistakes with this type of card making...............everything goes, I really loved the way each person in the class produced something totally different by using different colour Distress inks, cosmic shimmer mists & masks.

Please give your honest opinion about this card, I really like it but hubby was not impressed, he prefers the Magnolia style cards...LOL, I won't be offended I am just really interested. Anyway off to work now then packing for my hols tonight, yay.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Hugs

Sarah

  1. I love vintage, but don't seem to do enough of it. So yes I like your card, and it's down to personal taste, but I find that when I make requested cards for people they all seem to go for girlies and cuties.
Keep going with it and lets see what else you create as I personally like it.
Hope you and Jon and Hubby of course have a great holiday.
    Happy crafting

  2. Hi Sarah (DIL #1)
I love Marmite and I love your card. Messy thing distressing Dad reckons all the creams you'll use on holiday still won't remove the ink. Gives a new meaning to being "Green Fingered".
