I am back from my hols, got back Saturday night a bit earlier than planned but weather was rubbish and my son has a stomache bug & still has, visit to the GP for him tomorrow!!!! Had a good time though apart from finding out caravan had been leaking in the bathroom & we were greated to a mouldy room with a ruined vanity unit!!!! Still waiting for the repair estimate................I feel an ouch coming on!!!!

Anyway onto blog awards this one is from sweet Grace, if you have not visited her blog yet please pop by and say hi, she is only 12 and really talented.

A condition of this award is to list 5 things you may not know about me so here goes:

1. I am a qualified mechanic

2. I am only 4ft 11"

3. I have a very obsessive personality.....LOL makes me sound like a nutta!!!!

4. I am either tidy or untidy there is no in between, show home or devastation, mainly the latter though.............especially my craft room

5. I buy craft stuff to stroke instead of use, drives hubby mad & me if I am honest but I just can't stop............is there such thing as crafters anonymous?????

I am passing the award on to all the girls at Passion for Promarkers as I love all their blogs, they always make me smile.

Passion for Promarkers

Hopefully this has scheduled successfully as I am in Cornwall on my holidays, although I do have my I-Phone with me so I can keep a beady eye on my blog................yes I am sad!!!!!

This week on Passion for Promarkers the lovely Sue has chosen the colours Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst & Aubergine, such lovely colours & they matched perfectly with Basic Grey's Wisteria papers (my fave BG papers so far).

I used my neglected Magnolia Tilda with Bike and coloured her with the following Promarkers

  • Hair & Basket: Cocoa, Cinnamon & Sandstone
  • Clothes : Ivory, Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst & Aubergine
  • Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink
  • Bike: Ivory, Lilac, Lavender, Amethyst & Aubergine, Ice grey 1 & 5

The Sentiment & cardstock is Stampin up, flower & butterly punch from Hobbycraft, leaves MS Frond Punch, pins & Tulle from Stampeezee along with Tilda, BG papers & MS punch.

I have used Milled Lavender distress Ink to create a subtle edg to Tilda & the papers & the whole card sprayed with glimmer mist

New Talent!!!!

Just wanted to mention.........................

Just recently there have been a lot of juniors creating blogs & personally I am wowed by their talent & this little lady is no exception, Grace is the daughter of Debbie, owner of Stampeezee & she is such a sweetie.

She has worked really hard today & created a lovely blog called Dancing Angel
I know she would be over the moon if you stopped by to say hi & commented on her first card, it's fantastic!!!!!

Marmite card

Hope everyone is well, sorry about my lack of visiting bu I have been manic the past couple of weeks, we go on our holidays to Cornwall tomorrow so I have been catching up on time at work, washing, cleaning & doing DT cards in advance that are due whilst I am away.

I found time to pop to Stampeezee last night however & take part in a distressing class that they were running, (click on the Stampeezee link to see the display cards) they have a new artist teaching some of the classes & I just love her style, she is a big Tim Holtz fan so we set to work using some of his products & this is what I created

You will either love or hate this card hence the post title 'Marmite', personally I love it, I made a real mess.............we all did actually, my hands are still green this morning after scrubbing them!!!!! the class was really relaxed as there were no mistakes with this type of card making...............everything goes, I really loved the way each person in the class produced something totally different by using different colour Distress inks, cosmic shimmer mists & masks.

Please give your honest opinion about this card, I really like it but hubby was not impressed, he prefers the Magnolia style cards...LOL, I won't be offended I am just really interested. Anyway off to work now then packing for my hols tonight, yay.

Passion for Promarkers

This week at Passion For Promarkers it's my colour choice 'Pumpkin & Prussian' with a Halloween theme & we are kindly sponsered by Hot Shot Crafts who are offering a £10 voucher to spend on their fab site.

I have used my Magnolia Tilda with Pumpkin & K & Co papers. The brads are from my stash I got them in a sale in Stampeezee a while back.

I have used the following Promarkers to colour my image:

Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink

Hair & boots - warm grey's 1-5

Pumpkin & Dress - Pumpkin, Apricot & orange, Prussion, Navy.

I distressed around tilda with Milled lavender distress ink.

Class on 11/08/2009

Happy Sunday to everyone, I thought I would show you the project we made at my class on Tuesday. I cheated a little, well a lot actually as I have had just too much on to think about lately, I purchased A Rose is a Rose class plan from the talented Jenny Moors.

It's a slider box complete with 4 cards with instructions for all you see in the picture, Jenny has also included comprehensive instructions on how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig, the 2 step stampin gives the most wonderful effect. I think the ladies enjoyed it as none of them had used any of the SU 2 step stamp sets & it this really is a beautiful project with so many possible adaptations.

If you would like to order any of the materials used in this class, please do not hesitate to contact me, there are free ribbons for customers spending £45 or over in 1 transaction, click here for details.
You can get your own copy of the Rose is a Rose class plan from Jenny's blog here for only £2.50, she also has lots of other fantastic plans available.
Anyway, hope you all have a great Sunday, I have 3 DT cards to make in advance as we go on our hols to Cornwall on Friday so I will be a tad busy, I also have to look after my very tired hubby as he returns from doing the 3 peaks challenge today, he has had to climb Ben Nevis in Scotland, travel to the lakes, climb Scarfell Pike, travel to Wales & climb Snowdon & get back down, all in 24hrs for charity, he will be 1 tired man when he gets back!!!!
Anyway, I am offto craft, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Blog Awards

Phew, what a busy week I have had, I am so tired and not had a chance to get near the computer!!! My son, Jonathan came home from Scotland on Tuesday, I ran my card class on Tuesday night, he turned 13 the following day so we went to Thorpe Park as a treat.............some fab rides there I can tell you but mega busy & I was slightly put off by the need for all the security guards wearing Anti-stab vests!!!! They were needed though as we saw 2 lots of trouble!!!! It's not what you want at a family theme park.................think I will stick to Alton Towers & Drayton Manor next time!!!!!!!

I have been busy working the rest of the week & cleaning & cooking etc..................no time to craft/blog hop/leave comments etc, this is my first chance to sit down & have a nose at what you have all been up to.

Anyway, I have been a blog award twice once by the lovely Tracey & also by Tracey's lovely son Scott. Both blogs are well worth a visit & the very talented Scott has designed some new characters for Daisy & Dandelion, how cool is that, he is only 13!!!!!

Oh by the way, I saw the man at work that I did the Art Deco comission for today & his wife loved the card & is even going to frame it so I feel much better now.....men eh!!!
