Friday sketchers #39

This card was created for this weeks Friday sketchers challenge, in stages where i could grab a bit of crafty time............this week is a hectic one & i have only just got back from spending a few hours in A & E with my son who cut his head open falling over ice skating........boys eh!!! You may notice my image is not as central as it should be but I had a sticky tape drama and my checked panels ended up to far over!!!!!!!

I used the following materials to make this card:

  • Image - Sarah Kay Rose's garden (available here)
  • Sentiment - Pink Petticoat - Tiny tags download
  • Paper - Laura Ashley Love Song 6x6 paper pack
  • Embelishements - flowers from stash & metal spacers for floer centres (available here)
  • Colouring medium - Tim Holtz distress Inks & Lyra aquacolours

Thanks for looking and feel free to leave a comment, I love reading them.

Birthday flowers

Another card created for a triple challenge, not one of my best I have to say..........I seem to have lost my creative mojo this week!!!

The sketch is for sketch & stash challenge #13 and in addition you have to use new or neglected stash, for which i have used 2 stamps i have never used before. The colour scheme is following the colour create challenge 'peach & aqua', I really struggled with this one & finally the secret Crafter challenge is to create a card with a spring theme........hope this one passes.

I created this card with the following materials:

  • Stamps - Sarah Kay -spring blossoms & Hero arts birthday stamp from birthday pack
  • Cardstock - Coredinations
  • Accesories - brads, ribbon, stickles glitter glue
  • Colouring medium - Tim Holtz distress inks & Lyra aquacolours
  • Equipment - cuttlebug & oval nesties, cricut & Accent essentials cartridge for flourish

Thank you for looking & please feel free to leave a comment

Baby Boom

At work its a baby boom.............another little cherub is due on Friday........hope its a boy as I have this card all ready to go. Inspired by the recycling theme at
Secret Crafter I decided to create my own chipboard letters from the back of an A4 note pad........time consuming but I am pleased with the result. The card is a little basic but I felt anymore detail would clutter the card.

I used the following materials:

Back of a notepad for the homemade chipboard
Blue gingham paper was a free download but I cannot remember where from
Blue & white cardstock
Brads from my stash
Black pen for faux stitching

Spoon full of sugar challenge #37

We still have a blanket of snow on the ground & everything here has ground to a halt!!!! No schools are open in our area so I had to take the day off............mmmmmm crafting opportunity in the way of a spoon full of sugar challenge .

For this challenge you have to follow a lovely sketch & I have really enjoyed this one and will be using this sketch again for sure.

For my card I used the following:

  • Paper is K&Company from a 6x6 pad called Classic McKenna

  • Stamp is a Sarah Kay

  • Sentiment is a pink petticoat download

  • Tulle

  • I coloured the image with Lyra Aquacolours & distress inks

  • The heart was cut with my nestie dies in my trusty cuttlebug
