Shabby chic Tilda was stamped in Black Impress Ink onto SU Whisper white cardstock, coloured with Promarkers & cut out and mounted with nestie dies, the DP is Papermania Blueberry Hill, layered onto SU cardstock. I used my Martha Stuart border punch to create the pretty heart edge. The sentiment is from the SU Oval all set, punched out with SU Oval & scallop oval Punches. The ribbon & flowers are from my stash.

C4E Sketch Challenge

I am back from Scotland, I had a fab week with the in-laws, my mother-in-law is a crafter so we indulged in a bit, erm a lot of craft retail therapy, but it was my b'day & I was given pennies to spend!!!!! My MIL had also bought stuff to make projects together so we made a few things in her new craft room, including this card!!!!!! This weeks sketch for C4E incudes the option 'Vintage', I struggled with this as I took nothing vintage to Scotland with me at all so I had to make do with what I had & raid my crafty mummy's stash!!!!

The papers are MME Bloom & Grow Asparagus from Stampeezee & the image is Charmed Delectable 'Annie with Ted' another neglected stamp of mine!!!! I coloured her with........erm....Copic Ciao's........no I have not gone to the dark side it's just we had limited space in the car, what with my son in the back & 3 doggies in the boot & was restricted with what stash I could take!!! My MIL kindly allowed me to use them, got to say, I prefer my PM's, it took me ages to get used to the brush tip of the copic pen, I much prefer the bullet tip of the promarker, not to mention trying to get used to the colours!!!!

My background shape was created with a Martha Stewart border punch & my circles cut out with nesties. The sentment is one from my MIL's stash punched out with SU punches, I also raided her lace stash for the pretty bows.

After I had stuck the card together I realised I had not inked my edges but it was all a little late by then.....LOL

Anyway, some fab news, C4E have 2 new DT members, Andie & Suzette, check out the girls blogs as they are super talented.

Sadly there is also bad news from C4E, the lovely Cindy has been involved in a nasty car accident, if anyone would like to send Cindy a card please contact Michelle of C4E for her e-mail address.

Anyway, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Passion for Promarkers

Yay its PFP time again and this week Ida has chosen the yummy colours Lime and Rose Pink. Our sponser this week is Papriloftet and they kindly provided the DT with some yummy stash to use, their products are fantastic, please check out their site here, you will not be dissapointed.

Here is a piccy of the prize on offer this week, how fab does that stash look??

Anyway, on to this weeks card, I used a gorjuss girl and coloured her in the following Promarkers:
  • Hair: Cool grey 2-5
  • Clothes: Rose Pink, Blossom, Lime, Meadow green
  • Skin: Blush & Dusky pink

The DP is MME Asparagus from Stampeezee, matted onto SU Cardstock. The green flower & charm are Papriloftet & the pink roses & ribbon are from my stash. The large ovals were cut with nestability dies & the sentiment is Penny black punched out with SU Oval & scallop oval punches.

I have just noticed I forgot my white pen highlights but I am in Scotland now visiting my in-laws & the card is at home in the Midlands, I thought it was a bit far to go back....LOL. I am hoping to meet my fellow DT buddy Debbi who lives up in Inverness...................(oops sorry Deb I mean Aberdeen.........get lost in my own house me...LOL) whilst I am here, I love meeting my fellow bloggers. Saturday I met the lovely Sassy, she lives not too far from me and I had won one of her auctions on e-bay so I thought I would pop over. I am a big fan of Sassy's vintage look cards, they are so original & even prettier in real life, she really is a ribbon & lace kind of gal. I came away with this card, I loved it when I first saw it. Anyway Sassy is a real hunni & made me really welcome & we got on sooooo well, I hope to visit again real soon.
Anyway must go as off out for the day with the family.

C4E Sketch Challenge

Something a little different from me this week, I am creating samples for my SU demo box and as I have just treated my self to Bloomin with Beauty I thought I would use it to make a card for this weeks challenge. I have teamed it with 2 of the fab SU background stamps, En francais and Sanded to create an aged look.

I coloured the image with SU markers & an aqua painter and I am pleased with the result, these pens really are quite versatile. I have distressed and inked the edges with SU close to cocoa, I think it looks like the card has been in a fire, I quite like it think.

The sentiment is Hero arts and the flowers are Flora Doodles again both from Stampeezee, the punched flowers beind them have been created with 2 different sized Sakura punches. The card & ribbon is Stampin Up........can you tell??? It co-ordinates perfectly!!!!

Dahalia was of course coloured with Promarkers as follows:

Hair - cool grey 1-5
Skin - Blush, Dusky Pink
Clothes - Ruby, Maroon & Gold

I added my bling with gold stickles & bling dots from stash
