What's on your work desk Wednesday

Hi guys,
Hope you are all having a good week, I have just got back from a run, so I am ready for bed already!!!! I was sat here in my jim jams doing a bit of blog hopping and noticed everyone is posting what is on their work desks for What's on your work desk Wednesday so I thought I would play along this week so I snatched hubbys camera and snapped away!!

Not much going on really and it is tidy!!! Woo hoo it's a first for me!! You can't see much really, the pic is pretty bad but my Promarkers from my last card are still out (sat on my scorpal), waiting to be put away.

To the left is a few stamps I got from Stampeezee last night, Deb has the new MFT stamps in, the Pure Innocence range, check them out here, I could not resist snatching a few, I promise I will use these and not just hord them, I am trying to turn over a new leaf and use my stash instead of just buying and buying...Lol.

The pile of papers behind the stamps are tutorials and ideas I have printed, that pile of things to do and try just gets bigger and bigger, you guys have far too many brilliant ideas.

You can also see my Promarker airbrush system that I have played with once and left out, must play more as it is fab!!! The trusty Promarkers live in the corner and never move and to the right of the desk are a few distress inks that I have still to find a home for.

So that's it really, it's all pretty boring, I haven't had chance to play since making my last card on Sunday.

Anyway, have a great rest of the week.

Hugs

Passion for Promarkers

Passion for Promarkers time again and this week and Tracy has chosen the theme fantasy/mythology, I have just love that theme, the DT have some fab projects to inspire you, check them out here

I chose to use Mermaid Anya (in stock here) I have had her ages and I don't think I have ever used her before but that's not really unusual for me!!!

I coloured her in the following Promarkers, all available here:

Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink

Hair: Burnt Sienna, cocoa & caramel

Bikini top: cocktail pink, baby pink, pale pink

Tail: Bright green, meadow green

The fabulous swirl is from the Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes Bigz Sizzix die, you get 2 swirls on the die, this is the smaller of the 2, I got mine here, Deb still has some in stock as she has just had a new delivery, be quick though they won't hang about for long!!

The fab papers I have used are Euphoria by Basic Grey, still available here and co-incidently Stampeezee have based their kit of the month on this very collection, check it out here

The border was created with an EK Success punch, the flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is from one of Amy Rysay's collections punch out with my new Stampin Up modern label punch. I just love the sentiment, I get more and more like Dori from Finding Nemo every day!!!! My memory is awful these days, I am suprised I remember my way home of an evening!!!

Anyway, have a great week peeps, I will be working and running as usual, the half marathon is now only weeks away and I am only up to 7 miles, I best get cracking eh!!! I have lost 8lb in weight since I started though so it's all worth it to me, makes me feel better about myself and elevates my mood!!

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Happy Birthday Hubby

My second post of the day......go me!!!!

Today is my lovely husbands birthday and I always leave everything to the last minute!!! I tried to make him a card on Sunday but things just were not going my way so I threw it in the bin, so hubby woke up to no card on the morning of his birthday.....cruel of me huh??

As I had booked a day off work today, I made a quick card whilst he was at work and here it is:

The cute image is a digi from Hambo Stamps called 'Silly Birds with hats', yes I seem to have gone digi mad of late!!!! I coloured them with Promarkers & Copics and the paper & cardstock is from Stampin Up, the sentiment is Hero Arts punched out with my SU word window punch. Hubby liked it, he said the birds look like they have attitude!!!

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Passion for Promarkers Strawberries & Cream

Wow Tuesday again already!!!! Where did my weekend go??

Time for another Passion for Promarkers challenge & this week Sue has chosen the theme 'Strawberries & Cream' I chose to use this strawberry cupcake digi from 'creations by Penny' and it was only a dollar....bargain!! I coloured the sweet cupcake in the following colours:

Red, salmon pink, baby pink, pale pink, Bright green, leaf green, caramel & sandstone

I cut it out with my Circle nesties and mounted it on to Stampin up old olive cardstock cut out with oval nesties. The strawberry paper is from the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Cupcake Collection, i used some more old olive for matting & layering along with some Kraft. I finished the card off with some Old Olive satin Ribbon, currently available in Stampin Up's mini catty.

I have some news by the way, I announced a few weeks ago that I was doing a half marathon in July for the Charity Cardiac Risk in the Young, well I have been training hard and I am running up to 6.5miles now. I have always wanted to do a full marathon and on Friday I got confirmation that I have a charity place running in next years Edinburgh marathon for the RNLI. I am so excited but nervous to........not quite sure what I am letting myself in for!!!! Anyway I will keep you posted. Align Centre
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment to let me know you have popped in and I will stop by and see you

Thanks

My New Storage Solutions!!

Happy Monday everyone, this is just a quick post to show you my new storage solution for my Stampin Up Stamps, I did have them stored on an Ikea Expedit unit but I kept knocking them all over when I wanted the stamp set from the bottom....and my collection had outgrown the 4 cubes they were living in.

I noticed a few peeps were storing them in DVD towers so I had a flick through the Argos book yesterday and found this:

I managed to get ALL my wood mounted SU sets in here, the shelves are adjustable so I was able to tailor the unit to the height of the sets....I love it, I had one shelf left over afterwards. You can get at least 18 sets side by side on each shelf . It cost £44.99, I paid half of it with my nectar points so I only paid £22.50. It fits behind my craft room door and now I have 4 cubes free in my expedit unit....yay!!!
Information about the unit can be found here

You can see I store my Stampin Up ribbons, wheels (in the special cases that SU now stock) and the new Stampin Up un-mounted stamps of which I only have 3 so far on the top of the unit. I have also put my new style SU punches on here to as they don't sit on my utensil rail like the old style ones do!! Any tips for storing these welcome.

I found the stacking containers for my ribbons in Lakeland, I bought 2 packs at £9.99 each, you get 2 per pack and they stack, they are Ok until I find something better....I have to lift them off to get the ribbon reels out but I can cope with that at the moment.

Anyway, I thought I would share my new storage with you, I have also been busy cataloguing and storing my unmounted stamps but I will show you that another time as that is still a work in progress!!! One day I will have a lovely organised room and I will know what stamps I actually have....Lol. I took some pics of my craft room last year when I first re-vamped it, pics can be seen in this post here, the room looks a bit different to this now though as I have acquired more stuff and it is very untidy, I will re-photograph it soon to show the changes!!

Anyway, I am off to bed now, I will be back tomorrow with my Passion For Promarkers card, night, night.x

Passion for Promarkers - Gratitude

Hi Peeps,

Yes it's me, I am back and I have made a card, I have been a bit stressed out of late and had to take a break from blogging, thanks to the girls at PFP for being soooooooo understanding, love you all heaps.
Anyway, this week at Passion for Promarkers is co-incidently my choice of challenge and I chose the theme 'Gratitude', so get your Promarkers to work and create any type of thank you/appreciation card, the DT have created some great samples for you to peruse for inspiration so why not hop over to the PFP blog and take a peek.

For my card, I used a Pink Petticoat image from the 'Too Tweet' collection, not sure if this kit is still available you would have to check the site. I printed birdie onto Stampin Up whisper white cardstock and coloured her with my PM's of course, i used, Antique pink, pale pink & Baby pink, I cut out the image with a labels nestie and sponged the edges with pink chalk ink.

I dug the DP out of my scrap box (i never do that, I m trying to be good - found some great bits in there to). It is by EK Success, i think it was from a scrapbook stack, I mounted it on some pale pink cardstock and then onto Kraft. The rickrack is from my stash, I was supposed to decorate the flower centres and I totally forgot....Doh.......can you just pretend I have? Lol

Anyway, have a great day whatever you are doing, I booked an extra day off work, so I might craft today.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Half Marathon

Hey peeps, hope you are all okay, so sorry about my lack of blogging/comment leaving etc. I have had a hectic few weeks...well months actually, I just don't seem to get time to craft and blog hop these days!!! A lottery win sure would help as I could ditch the full time job, but hey I don't play so not chance of that happening soon!!!
Anyway, I am also busy training for my first half marathon, I am raising money for the charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). I have chosen this one in memory of my young work colleague and friend Stuart Hudson who collapsed and died last year whilst playing football from an undiagnosed heart condition.
If you are able to sponser me to help raise money for this wonderful cause I would be very grateful, I have a web page where you can donate securley...no sponser forms, no collecting money etc....it's fab!!! You can find my page here
Anyway, thank you for reading this post, I hope to get back into regular blogging/comment leaving a.s.a.p
Hugs
