Anyone for Anya - Sketch

Hey peeps, happy Sunday to everyone, personally I am glad this week is over as It has been horrid!!! It started with my big sis being rushed to hospital with what turned outto be Pneumonia and fluid on her lung and then Friday I was told yet another of my work colleagues had passed away, he was in his forties, I still don't know how he passed, I was so upset at work on Friday I had to go home, we were pretty close as far as work colleagues go, I have cried buckets this weekend.

Anyway on a happy note, on Saturday we travelled up to Scotland to see the in-laws. My mother in law is Lil-Daffodil so she is into crafting in a big way, so it is lovely to get together and spend a few hours crafting even if she is still poorly.

Today I have ran 7.5 miles round Loch Leven and I have managed to squeeze in some crafting. I loved the Anyone for Anya sketch so I played along with the 1 and only Greeting Farm stamp my mother in law owns, anyway here is the card:

I have used The Greeting Farm's Ruby and coloured her with my Promarkers, the paper is Basic Grey Green at heart and the sentiment is from PTI's Everyday Button Bits Set.
Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Caseing Emma

Align CentreOk, I just had to case this card I saw on Emma's blog, I just fell in love. First though I had to accquire the Quickcutz doll and accessory die first, I managed to track both down on ebay and I snapped them up super fast.

Deb from Stampeezee has the same die and made a card using this Doodlebug DP for the dress, of course I just had to copy......sorry Deb. The sentiment is by stampendous, i really enjoyed making this card, so simple, thanks Emma. I can see all my pals getting one of these, LOL

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

WOYWW

I thought I would join in another what's on your work desk wednesday, i just love nosing at what other people are up to...LOL.

Anyway, mine is much the same as last week apart from a few things that seem to have landed that I have yet to put away.

You can see my copy of the new Magnolia Magazine that arrived today from Stampeezee along with another Pure Innocence stamp, seen to the right of the mag, oh my I just lurve these babies.

To the left of the mag is a pile of stamps I am determined to use them all once before I put them away and my fab Stampin Up Stamp a ma jig, me just love my ma jig, i don't do straight!!!!!

You may also spy a basic grey pad, my most used acrylic block, a discarded card I was not happy with (the lady on the white card at the back - don't like the DP I used for her dress).

Glad you can't see the rest of the room, you cannot really see the floor, why can't I make anything without the room looking like I have been burgled??

Anyway, quick update on my sis, she has some fragments of blood (Docs are questioning trauma now but she cannot think how it may have happened). She may have to have surgry to have it removed and her lung washed out, we are now not going ahead with the trip to Brighton to celebrate her 50th as she will be in hospital until at least next week and she will take at least 4-6 weeksto get over this!!

I am off to bed now as I am shattered from all the running about to hospitals, Vets, work etc, bit of a busy day really

Have a great rest of the week

Happy Birthday Uncle Smith

Happy Wednesday peeps, we are half way to the weekend, Yay!!! I am off to see the family in Scotland on Friday, well I nearly wasn't for a minute, my big sis was rushed into hospital yesterday, turns out she has Pneumonia and fluid on her lung that they are having to drain off, not pleasant and extremely painful, we are supposed to be off to Brighton the weekend after this coming one as well to celebrate her 50th, not sure she will be well enough to go, poor sis!!!!

Anyway, this card is for hubby's Uncle Smith, for his birthday, I love him to bits, one of the nicest men you could ever meet, I hope he likes his card.

The card is very similar to my post on Sunday, I liked the layout so I used it again but changed a few of the finer details. The tree image is from Stampin Up's Lovely as a Tree set and the papers are Stampin up To the Nines.

The sentiment is from SU Very Versatile punched out with the word window punch and layered onto the Modern label punch, both by Stampin Up. The modern label punch is not available in the UK at the moment so you won't find it in the current catty, fingers crossed we get it in the next one.

I am entering this card into a couple of fab challenges, the first being Tuesday Taggers where the theme is 'It's a mans world' and a Spoonfull of Sugar where the theme is 'celebration'

I hope you like the card, thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Anyway it's time for another Passion for Promarkers challenge and this week is exciting but sad, today we announce design team 2, these fab girls are taking over for 6 months, team 1 are having a bit of respite, can you believe the challenge has been running over 12 months now, I can't, time sure does fly. I am goona miss the team for the next 6 months...sob

Anyway, this is my farewell card if you like, I have used another stamp from The Pure Innocence Range from My favourite things, this one is 'Fairy girl', find her here, I think she might be my fave so far, such a sweet image for girlie cards!!

I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo black Ink & coloured her with Promarkers of course, find the whole range here

I kept this card really simple, adding some texture to the white panel with the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder and I used circle nesties to cut the image out then mounted it onto a blossom nestie. The gorgeous DP is by Basic Grey from the 6x6 pad currently in stock here

More Pure Innocence

Phew, the temperatures have soared here in the Midlands!! Far too hot for me to sit out in so I got another Pure Innocence stamp Inky to show you, this one is called Tree Swing, how cute is this lil fella?

He even comes with 3 sentiments and a little dog, find him and his friends here

I coloured him stamped him in Memento Tuxedo black Ink, in stock here and coloured him with Promarkers, all available here

The paper is Stampin Up's To the Nines, the punch is by EK Success, I have used card candy to compliment the paper, but I didn't have the colour I wanted so I coloured white ones with my Promarkers, cool huh??

I am so impressed with myself, I only got these MFT stamps the other day and I have inked up 2 of them already, that is just so good for me!!! Actually I have had a really productive day, got loads of housework done, including shampooing the lounge carpet (don't have cream with 3 dogs) and I have made 2 cards the other is a DT card, you can see that one Tuesday)

Anyway, gonna curl up on the sofa with hubby and watch some criminal minds, love anything like that!!!

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave me a comment to let me know you have visited and I will pop over to your little bit of space on the WWW.

Pure Innocence!!!

Oh my, I feel another obsession coming on!!!!

Hi peeps, hope you are all well on this lovely sunny day, I have taken a half day holiday from work to be out and about in it but I got distracted by Stampeezee, they have just taken delivery of a selection of the adorable Pure Innocence Stamps from My Favourite things, check them out here, you best be quick though as these cutie patooties won't hang around for long I'm sure!! I just had to hot foot it to the store to grab mine before they all sell out!!

I inked up Blooming good day and coloured her with my Promarkers, all in stock here, the sentiment came with the stamp and I stamped them both together on a large acrylic block, just love that, no lining up to do. They are such good quality by the way they stamp beautifully.

The adorable DP is by Imaginisce called Twitterpated Lady Bug Ball, so cute!!! The buttons are from my stash and I have threaded them with Bakers Twine available here in 3 colours, I just love the little pegs they come on and for 99p for 20 metres they are a steal!!!
By the way Deb at Stampeezee is re-launching her blog, sign up as a follower here to keep up to date with all the new arrivals and news from the shop, Deb tries to stock the more hard to get stamps such as Unity, My favourite things, Artful Stamper and Justrite and she carries a fantastic range of Martha Stewart and EK Success punches!!! I think she may be posting candy soon to so keep em peeled!!!
Anyway, I am off back to my craft room to play with the rest of my delicious Pure Innocence stamps, have a great day in the sun.
Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

What's on your work desk Wednesday

Hi guys,
Hope you are all having a good week, I have just got back from a run, so I am ready for bed already!!!! I was sat here in my jim jams doing a bit of blog hopping and noticed everyone is posting what is on their work desks for What's on your work desk Wednesday so I thought I would play along this week so I snatched hubbys camera and snapped away!!

Not much going on really and it is tidy!!! Woo hoo it's a first for me!! You can't see much really, the pic is pretty bad but my Promarkers from my last card are still out (sat on my scorpal), waiting to be put away.

To the left is a few stamps I got from Stampeezee last night, Deb has the new MFT stamps in, the Pure Innocence range, check them out here, I could not resist snatching a few, I promise I will use these and not just hord them, I am trying to turn over a new leaf and use my stash instead of just buying and buying...Lol.

The pile of papers behind the stamps are tutorials and ideas I have printed, that pile of things to do and try just gets bigger and bigger, you guys have far too many brilliant ideas.

You can also see my Promarker airbrush system that I have played with once and left out, must play more as it is fab!!! The trusty Promarkers live in the corner and never move and to the right of the desk are a few distress inks that I have still to find a home for.

So that's it really, it's all pretty boring, I haven't had chance to play since making my last card on Sunday.

Anyway, have a great rest of the week.

Passion for Promarkers

Passion for Promarkers time again and this week and Tracy has chosen the theme fantasy/mythology, I have just love that theme, the DT have some fab projects to inspire you, check them out here

I chose to use Mermaid Anya (in stock here) I have had her ages and I don't think I have ever used her before but that's not really unusual for me!!!

I coloured her in the following Promarkers, all available here:

Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink, Pastel Pink

Hair: Burnt Sienna, cocoa & caramel

Bikini top: cocktail pink, baby pink, pale pink

Tail: Bright green, meadow green

The fabulous swirl is from the Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes Bigz Sizzix die, you get 2 swirls on the die, this is the smaller of the 2, I got mine here, Deb still has some in stock as she has just had a new delivery, be quick though they won't hang about for long!!

The fab papers I have used are Euphoria by Basic Grey, still available here and co-incidently Stampeezee have based their kit of the month on this very collection, check it out here

The border was created with an EK Success punch, the flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is from one of Amy Rysay's collections punch out with my new Stampin Up modern label punch. I just love the sentiment, I get more and more like Dori from Finding Nemo every day!!!! My memory is awful these days, I am suprised I remember my way home of an evening!!!

Anyway, have a great week peeps, I will be working and running as usual, the half marathon is now only weeks away and I am only up to 7 miles, I best get cracking eh!!! I have lost 8lb in weight since I started though so it's all worth it to me, makes me feel better about myself and elevates my mood!!

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Happy Birthday Hubby

My second post of the day......go me!!!!

Today is my lovely husbands birthday and I always leave everything to the last minute!!! I tried to make him a card on Sunday but things just were not going my way so I threw it in the bin, so hubby woke up to no card on the morning of his birthday.....cruel of me huh??

As I had booked a day off work today, I made a quick card whilst he was at work and here it is:

The cute image is a digi from Hambo Stamps called 'Silly Birds with hats', yes I seem to have gone digi mad of late!!!! I coloured them with Promarkers & Copics and the paper & cardstock is from Stampin Up, the sentiment is Hero Arts punched out with my SU word window punch. Hubby liked it, he said the birds look like they have attitude!!!

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Passion for Promarkers Strawberries & Cream

Wow Tuesday again already!!!! Where did my weekend go??

Time for another Passion for Promarkers challenge & this week Sue has chosen the theme 'Strawberries & Cream' I chose to use this strawberry cupcake digi from 'creations by Penny' and it was only a dollar....bargain!! I coloured the sweet cupcake in the following colours:

Red, salmon pink, baby pink, pale pink, Bright green, leaf green, caramel & sandstone

I cut it out with my Circle nesties and mounted it on to Stampin up old olive cardstock cut out with oval nesties. The strawberry paper is from the Nana's Nursery Baby Girl 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's Cupcake Collection, i used some more old olive for matting & layering along with some Kraft. I finished the card off with some Old Olive satin Ribbon, currently available in Stampin Up's mini catty.

I have some news by the way, I announced a few weeks ago that I was doing a half marathon in July for the Charity Cardiac Risk in the Young, well I have been training hard and I am running up to 6.5miles now. I have always wanted to do a full marathon and on Friday I got confirmation that I have a charity place running in next years Edinburgh marathon for the RNLI. I am so excited but nervous to........not quite sure what I am letting myself in for!!!! Anyway I will keep you posted. Align Centre
Thanks for stopping by, please feel free to leave a comment to let me know you have popped in and I will stop by and see you

My New Storage Solutions!!

Happy Monday everyone, this is just a quick post to show you my new storage solution for my Stampin Up Stamps, I did have them stored on an Ikea Expedit unit but I kept knocking them all over when I wanted the stamp set from the bottom....and my collection had outgrown the 4 cubes they were living in.

I noticed a few peeps were storing them in DVD towers so I had a flick through the Argos book yesterday and found this:

I managed to get ALL my wood mounted SU sets in here, the shelves are adjustable so I was able to tailor the unit to the height of the sets....I love it, I had one shelf left over afterwards. You can get at least 18 sets side by side on each shelf . It cost £44.99, I paid half of it with my nectar points so I only paid £22.50. It fits behind my craft room door and now I have 4 cubes free in my expedit unit....yay!!!
Information about the unit can be found here

You can see I store my Stampin Up ribbons, wheels (in the special cases that SU now stock) and the new Stampin Up un-mounted stamps of which I only have 3 so far on the top of the unit. I have also put my new style SU punches on here to as they don't sit on my utensil rail like the old style ones do!! Any tips for storing these welcome.

I found the stacking containers for my ribbons in Lakeland, I bought 2 packs at £9.99 each, you get 2 per pack and they stack, they are Ok until I find something better....I have to lift them off to get the ribbon reels out but I can cope with that at the moment.

Anyway, I thought I would share my new storage with you, I have also been busy cataloguing and storing my unmounted stamps but I will show you that another time as that is still a work in progress!!! One day I will have a lovely organised room and I will know what stamps I actually have....Lol. I took some pics of my craft room last year when I first re-vamped it, pics can be seen in this post here, the room looks a bit different to this now though as I have acquired more stuff and it is very untidy, I will re-photograph it soon to show the changes!!

Anyway, I am off to bed now, I will be back tomorrow with my Passion For Promarkers card, night, night.x

Passion for Promarkers - Gratitude

Hi Peeps,

Yes it's me, I am back and I have made a card, I have been a bit stressed out of late and had to take a break from blogging, thanks to the girls at PFP for being soooooooo understanding, love you all heaps.
Anyway, this week at Passion for Promarkers is co-incidently my choice of challenge and I chose the theme 'Gratitude', so get your Promarkers to work and create any type of thank you/appreciation card, the DT have created some great samples for you to peruse for inspiration so why not hop over to the PFP blog and take a peek.

For my card, I used a Pink Petticoat image from the 'Too Tweet' collection, not sure if this kit is still available you would have to check the site. I printed birdie onto Stampin Up whisper white cardstock and coloured her with my PM's of course, i used, Antique pink, pale pink & Baby pink, I cut out the image with a labels nestie and sponged the edges with pink chalk ink.

I dug the DP out of my scrap box (i never do that, I m trying to be good - found some great bits in there to). It is by EK Success, i think it was from a scrapbook stack, I mounted it on some pale pink cardstock and then onto Kraft. The rickrack is from my stash, I was supposed to decorate the flower centres and I totally forgot....Doh.......can you just pretend I have? Lol

Anyway, have a great day whatever you are doing, I booked an extra day off work, so I might craft today.

Thanks for looking, please feel free to leave a comment as I love reading them.

Hugs
